2001–02 Slovenian Hockey League season

The 2001/02 season was the eleventh staging of the Slovenian Hockey League after the declaration of independence of Slovenia from Yugoslavia. She was discharged with eight teams. Defending champion and also the new champion was the HDD Olimpija Ljubljana.

Participants and mode

The field remained almost unchanged compared to the previous year. Only the training team HK MARC INTERIERI was replaced by a second team of Master Olimpija Ljubljana. Similarly, the mode remained the same: after a double round-trip round played the top four teams from the second round to determine the two finalists and the participants of the series for third place. The remaining four clubs played in a simple round-trip round for fifth.

Regular season

The encounter between the HK Kranjska Gora and the HK Slavija Ljubljana in the second round that would have on 5 October 2001 to take place, has been canceled.
