2001 Australian Open

The Australian Open 2001 took place in Melbourne in January 2001.

Defender of the single were Andre Agassi in the men's and Lindsay Davenport in the women. In the men's doubles were Ellis Ferreira and Rick Leach, in women's doubles Lisa Raymond and Rennae Stubbs the defending champions. Stubbs was simultaneously along with Jared Palmer, the defending champion in mixed doubles.

The final of the Men's Singles Andre Agassi won in three sets against Arnaud Clement. In women's singles, Jennifer Capriati won against Martina Hingis and thus Won her first Grand Slam final. In the men's doubles Jonas Bjorkman won by the side of Todd Woodbridge, the women's doubles won the Williams sisters Serena and Venus Williams. The finals in mixed doubles were won by Corina Morariu at the side of Ellis Ferreira.
