This year, Liv Ullmann was jury president. A year earlier, she had a directing from a screenplay by Ingmar Bergman in the competition. She stood in front of a jury with the following members: Charlotte Gainsbourg, Sandrine Kiberlain, Julia Ormond, Moufida Tlatli, Mimmo Calopresti, Terry Gilliam, Mathieu Kassovitz, Philippe Labro and Edward Yang.
