2001 Davidoff Swiss Indoors

The Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel 2001, a tennis tournament, which was held in Basel from 23 to 28 October 2001. It was part of the ATP Tour in 2001 and was played on indoor carpet. The venue of the tournament was the St. James Hall, which is just behind the Basel city limits in Munich stone.

Defender of the individual was Thomas Enqvist, who no longer took part in this year's tournament. This year's host was won by Briton Tim Henman against the local hero Roger Federer, who consecutively lost the final for the second time. For Henman it was already in 1998 the second title in Basel and the eighth overall title on the ATP Tour. In doubles, Donald Johnson and Piet Norval were the defending champions, but they also no longer participated. The winners Ellis Ferreira and Rick Leach against the Indian duo Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes in straight sets.
