2001 UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The 91 UCI Track World Championships were held to 30 September 2001 in Antwerp " Sportpaleis " of 26. The program included twelve disciplines.
Spectacular the final run ended in the Keirin: By a maneuver by the Australian Jobie Dajka the driver Jens Fiedler, Pavel Buráň and Florian Rousseau came to case. While Ryan Bayley and Laurent Gané drove unhindered to the finish, followed them Fiedler with the wheel under her arm walking, thus securing the bronze medal. Rousseau had to be hospitalized with a broken pelvis to the hospital.
