2001 World Championships in Athletics

The 8th IAAF World Championships ( officially: 8th IAAF World Championships in Athletics Edmonton 2001) took place from August 3 to 12, 2001 in the Canadian city of Edmonton instead. The competitions were held in Commonwealth Stadium. It was attended by 1766 athletes from some 200 countries.
