2001 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships

The 25th U20 Junior World Championships were held in the 2000/2001 season at the following locations and dates:

For both Junior World Championships was from this year, as in the elderly and women, a new designation of the different groups. The B group was designated as Division I, the C group than Division II and the D group than Division III. The A group is generally referred to only as a World Cup. A total of 34 teams took part in the U20 World Championships. Czech Republic successfully defended his title and was the second time U20 Junior World Champion.
