2002–03 Eliteserien season

The 2002/03 season was the 64th season of the Elite series, the highest Norwegian ice hockey league. Champion for a total 22 times in the club's history Vålerenga Ishockey. The Lørenskog IK got down to the second division.

Mode

In the main round each of the nine teams completed a total of 38 games. The top six teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played, with the top two finishers of the main draws were directly qualified for the play-off semi-finals. The last placed athlete had to play in the relegation against the three winners of the second division. For a win within regular time each team received three points for a win after overtime two points for a loss after overtime there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
