2002–03 Slovak 1. Liga season

The season 2002 /03 was the tenth regular hosting of the first league, the second Slovakian Hockey League. Champion of MHC Nitra, who ascended directly into the Extraliga. The HK Ružinov 99 Bratislava dismounted in the second league.

Mode

In the main round each of the twelve teams completed a total of 44 games. The winner after the main round went straight on in the Extraliga, the last placed rose directly from the 2nd league. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point. For one defeat after regulation time gave no points.
