2002–03 WCHL season
The 2002/03 season was the eighth and final regular season of the West Coast Hockey League. During the regular season, six teams denied each of 72 games. In the play-offs, the San Diego Gulls prevailed and won the fifth Taylor Cup in their history. After the season the WCHL merged with the East Coast Hockey League, which subsequently changed its name to the abbreviation ECHL and the six remaining teams from the WCHL recorded for the 2003/04 season.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Colorado Gold Kings stopped the game operation.
- The Tacoma Sabercats stopped the game operation.
