2002 Copa Libertadores

The Copa Libertadores 2002 due to the sponsorship of the automaker Toyota Toyota Libertadores Copa also was the 43rd edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. It was attended by 32 teams participate, with the number of participants was determined depending on the rank of the country in the CONMEBOL standings, and two representatives from Mexico and Venezuela, the determined two remaining qualifying places. The participants completed titleholder CA Boca Juniors. The tournament began on February 5 and ended on July 31, 2002 with the final second leg. The Paraguayan representatives Club Olimpia won the final against AD São Caetano and for the third time the Copa Libertadores.
