2002 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 27th IAAF European Indoor Championships were held March 3, 2002 at the Ferry Dusika stadium in Vienna from 1. The Austrian capital was for the third time after 1970 and 1979, the venue for this event.
During the competitions two world records were set: by Jolanda Ceplak in the 800 -meter run and Svetlana Feofanowa in the pole vault. Overall, the athletes achieved in Vienna 48 national records and seven championship records.
