2002 IAAF World Cup
The 9th IAAF World Cup took place at the Estadio de Madrid from Madrid ( Spain) on 21 and 22 September 2002.
It was attended by 402 athletes from 65 nations participate. The winner was the team with the men of Africa, and in the women 's team Russia.
Scoring
The men's team of the United Kingdom was disqualified because the results of Dwain Chambers at the Athletics European Cup, who had helped the British to participate in the World Cup, were canceled later due to its violations of the doping regulations. The individual performance of male British Starter remained, but were no longer counted for awarding points.
Full Time
The British team had originally occupied the seventh place.
