2003–04 Czech Extraliga season

The 2003/ 04 was the 11th regular hosting of the Czech Extraliga ice hockey. In the play-off final, the HC Hamé Zlín sat against HC Slavia Prague 4-1 by. In the first league of the Czech Republic HC Dukla Jihlava won the championship, and defeated in the relegation matches the table last of the Extraliga, HC České Budějovice, 4-0. This Dukla Jihlava advance to the Extraliga and takes the place of České Budějovice.

In 52 games, all teams play against each other four times each, each team throughout the season 26 home and 26 away games. The teams ranked 1 - 8 directly qualify for the play- offs, which will be played in best-of- seven- mode. In the 2003 / 04 season, a league relegation takes place in the Extraliga for promotion. The HC Hamé Zlín sat against HC Slavia Prague 4-1 by winning the first title in club history. An outstanding series with Ondřej Vesely, Petr Leška and Jaroslav Balaštík, the defender Martin Hamrlík and the Torhüterduo Igor Murín ( Gegentorschnitt of 2.01 and two shutouts; catch quota: 93.89 % ) and Martin Altrichter ( Gegentorschnitt of 0.72, a shutout; catch quota: 98.5 %) were guarantors for this success.

The outstanding player of the Play- Downs was the only 24 - year-old goalkeeper Jaroslav Suchan, who helped with two shutouts, a Gegentorschnitt of 0.96 and a catch quota HC Dukla Jihlava 97% of the ascent. This Dukla Jihlava is again a member of the Extraliga, while the crew of the HC České Budějovice must take the course in the first league.
