2003–04 Nationalliga A season

The 2003/ 04 was the 66th regular season of the National League A. The SC Bern was in the play-off final against HC Lugano Swiss champion. In the National League B, the EHC Biel ' B- Master ' was, but failed in the relegation at the HC Lausanne. Direct relegated to the NLB was last - placed play- outs, the EHC Basel.

Mode

Were played by the (exceptionally ) 13 teams 2 double rounds of 24 games. After that, the best eight teams determined the Swiss champion in playoff style. Quarter-finals, semi-finals were each on the mode Best of seven, played the finals in the Best mode of five.

The other five teams determined in the playout direct relegated and the team that had to play for the league against the champions of the National League B.

In the play- outs of the season 2003/ 04 both a direct relegated, as well as a participant had to be determined for the play-offs against the B- Master. The points from the regular season were included in the table with the relegation round.
