2004–05 DFB-Pokal (women)

The DFB Women's Cup in 2005 was won by 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam. The Potsdammerinnen defended her title with confidence. Like last year, we won the final against 1 FFC Frankfurt 3-0. In the first round left in a poor surprises competition two first division, the FCR 2001 Duisburg and Hamburg SV, against teams from unterklassige. From the quarter- finals the Bundesliga were alone. For the last time were the DFB Cup second teams participate.

Qualification

It was played on August 15. The country cup winner of Hamburg and Bremen had to first compete against each other to reduce the number of participants to 32.

First round

It was played on 29 August 2004. For two first division of the cup competition was already after the first round ends. The FCR 2001 Duisburg ( against the FFC Brauweiler Pulheim 2000) and Hamburger SV ( against 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam II) secreted from each against second division.

Second round

It was played on 14 November 2004. Almost had the FSV Victoria Jägersburg caused a sensation. The Saarland inner fought in the 2nd Bundesliga against relegation, but were able to force the first division club SC Freiburg in the extension. Here Freiburg was able to prevail 6-5.

Quarterfinals

Favorites victory was played on 12 December 2004. Certain the round of eight. Only Frankfurt had to go into overtime.

Semifinal

It was played on 28 March 2005. As in the previous year, Germany's figureheads of women's football could qualify for the final.
