2004–05 LNAH season

The 2004/05 season was the ninth regular season in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey (until 2003 Ligue de hockey semi- professionnelle de Québec; until 2004 Ligue de hockey senior majeur du Québec ). The ten teams should contest in the regular season of 60 matches, but the game plan because of the premature, financially -related retirement, the Fjord du Saguenay had to be changed. The point of best team in the regular season were the Radio X de Québec, which also for the first time, the Futura Coupe won in the play- offs. Before the season, the league changed its name due to the increasing professionalization in Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The prédateurs de Granby stopped the game operation.
  • The Caron & Guay de Pont- Rouge stopped the game operation.
  • The Promutuel de Rivière -du -Loup stopped the game operation.
  • The Royaux de Sorel stopped the game operation.
  • The Mission de Saint -Jean were resettled in Sorel - Tracy and changed their name to Mission de Sorel - Tracy.
  • The Paramédic du Saguenay changed their name to Fjord du Saguenay.
  • The Vikings de Trois- Rivières changed their name to Caron & Guay de Trois- Rivières.
