In the season 2004/05 Scottish Premier League was Glasgow Rangers Scottish football champions. Thus, Rangers and runners-up Glasgow Celtic qualified for the Champions League. Ranking third Hibernian and Dundee United Cup finalist achieved qualification for the UEFA Cup. Had to dismount the FC Dundee, who was replaced by the newly promoted FC Falkirk.
