2004 Davidoff Swiss Indoors
The Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel 2004 was a tennis tournament which took place in Basel from 26 to 31 October 2004. It was part of the ATP Tour in 2004 and was played on indoor carpet. The venue of the tournament was the St. James Hall, which is just behind the Basel city limits in Munich stone.
Defender of the single was Guillermo Coria, who no longer took part in this year's tournament. In this year's final Jiří Novák won against David Nalbandian of Argentina in five sets. For Novák it was in the current year was the second tournament victory after winning the tournament in Tokyo in October. Overall, it was his seventh victory on the ATP World Tour. In doubles, Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor were the defending champions, but they divorced in the semifinals. The brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won the final in straight sets against Lucas Arnold Ker and Mariano Hood. For the Bryan brothers, it was after 2002 was the second title in Basel. In the current year, this was the sixth doubles title for the pair.
The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
