2004 DFB-Ligapokal
The DFB - League Cup in 2004 was the ninth edition of the competition. Participants were the first five teams in the Bundesliga last season, including the Double winner Werder Bremen and the ninth Hansa Rostock as the teams from No. 6 to 8 played in the Intertoto Cup. FC Bayern Munich won by a 3-2 win over Werder Bremen in the final of Mainz. Top scorers of the competition were with two hits Michael Ballack and Sebastian Deisler of Bayern Munich, Cacau from VfB Stuttgart and Werder Bremen's Ivan Klasnic.
