2004 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship
The 7th U-19 Football Championship Women was held in the period from July 28 to August 8, 2004 in Finland. Spain won the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Germany. Curiously, Germany won the duel in the first round still 7-0. For Spain, it was the first tournament victory. While Austria failed to qualify for the finals, Switzerland and defending champion France dropped out of the group stage. Game were eligible players who were born on 1 January 1985 or later. Scorer was Anja Mittag of Germany.

Qualification
39 countries had registered for this tournament. Finland qualified automatically as hosts, while Germany and Denmark for the first qualifying round were given a bye. The remaining 36 teams were divided into nine groups of four teams each. The group winners and runners reached the second qualifying round. The remaining 20 teams were divided into five groups of four teams each. The group winners and two best runners qualified for the final tournament. To this end, Finland came as the host.
