2004 World Championship of Ski Mountaineering

The II World Cup ski mountaineering 2004 Aran from 1 to 6 March 2004 at the Val d', Spain discharged. It was organized by the International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions ( ICSM ) of the Union Internationale des Associations d' Alpinisme ( UIAA ).

Newly added fields to the disciplines already offered at the First World Cup in ski mountaineering in 2002 were a relay race and the vertical race.

Expiration

After the opening on 1 March was followed to kick off on March 2, the vertical race is the first competition discipline. On 3 March, the team races were held and after a day of rest for the athletes was followed by the single race on March 5, 2008. The next day, at the same time last competition day, the relay competitions of the seniors were held.

The individual race was held on 5 March 2004. The track had around / - 1720 meters of altitude in four ascent and descent stages and approximately 20 km in length. In a corresponding result also participants in the age group " espoir " were included in the Senior championship.
