2005–06 Nationalliga A season

The season 2005/ 06 was the 68th regular season of the National League A. The HC Lugano was in the play-off final against the Swiss champions HC Davos. In the National League B, the EHC Biel ' B- master ' was and fought in the battle with the NLA table Latter- Fribourg- Gottéron for promotion to the top division.

Mode

Were played by the 12 teams 2 double rounds of 22 games. After that, the best eight teams determined the Swiss champion in playoff style. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals were played each after the mode best -of-seven.
