2005 Davidoff Swiss Indoors

The Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel 2005, a tennis tournament, which took place in Basel from 22 to 30 October 2005. It was part of the ATP Tour in 2005 and was played on indoor taraflex pad. The venue of the tournament was the St. James Hall, which is just behind the Basel city limits in Munich stone.

Defender of the individual Jiří Novák was, who retired earlier this year in the second round. In the final, Fernando González won against Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus qualifiers in four sets. For Gonzalez, it was in the current year 's third tournament victory and his seventh victory overall at the ATP World Tour. In doubles, the brothers Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but they dropped out in the semi-final against Agustin Calleri and Fernando González, which in turn could win the tournament. In the final they defeated the duo Stephen Huss and Wesley Moodie in straight sets 7:5 and 7:5.
