2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series
The NASCAR Nextel Cup season began on February 19, 2005 with the Daytona 500, the season ended on November 12 with the NAPA 400 in 2005 was the last season with a high number of points in the drivers' standings, because from the 2006 Chase was introduced.
