2006–07 2. Bundesliga (women)

The 2006/2007 season was the third season of the 2nd Bundesliga for women. The first match was scheduled for 10 September 2006. The last round was held on 28 May 2007. For the last time this season, the masters of the three southern Germany Oberligen will identify a climber in a promotion round. For the 2007 /08 season, the Regionalliga Süd is reintroduced.

Course of the season

In the northern group sat down with SG Wattenscheid 09 by one of the favorites. Eleven points clear testified to the class of the team from the Lohrheide. Relegation Relegation

In the inaugural descent Relegation of the FFV Neubrandenburg and of the FC Erzgebirge Aue determined the fifth relegated team. The first leg was held on June 3, 2007 in Bad Schlema, the return game on June 10, 2007 in Neubrandenburg instead. The FFV Neubrandenburg was able to prevail and remain in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Promotion round

Automatically increased the masters of the four regional leagues: FFC Oldesloe 2000 ( North ), 1 FC Union Berlin ( East ), FCR 2001 Duisburg II (West ) and the SV Dirmingen (southwest).

As the Süddeutsche Football Federation has no Regional, the Masters of Oberligen Hesse, Baden- Württemberg and Bavaria had to play a promotion round. For this purpose, the following teams qualified: TGS Jügesheim (Hesse), the ASV Hagsfeld (Baden- Württemberg) and Bayern Munich II ( Bayern).
