2006–07 EHF Champions League
At the Champions League season 2006/ 07 participated in 39 handball club teams, who had in the previous season in their home leagues qualify for the competition. It was the 47th staging of the EHF Champions League and the European Cup of Champions. The Cup games began on 1 September 2006, the second final match took place on 29 April 2007. Defending champion was the Spanish club BM Ciudad Real. In the final matches between THW Kiel and SG Flensburg- Handewitt the German club THW Kiel won the day and was able to win for the first Champions League title.

Mode
Qualification: The qualification was played in a knockout system with return game. The winner of each game moved into the group stage. The outgoing team moved into the second round of the EHF Cup 06/ 07.
Group Stage: There were eight groups of four teams. In a group, everyone plays against everyone a return match; the two best group reached the knockout stages. The respective third party group moved into the second round of the EHF European Cup, a Cup Winners' Cup 2006/ 07.
Second round: The second round was played in a knockout system with return game. The winner of each game moved into the quarter-finals.
Quarterfinals: The quarter-final was played in a knockout system with return game. The winner of each game moved into the semi-finals.
Semi-finals: The semi-final was played in a knockout system with return game. The winner of each game moved into the final.
Final: The final was played in a knockout system with return game. The winner of the game was the winner of the EHF Champions League season 2006/07.
