2006–07 Kazakhstan Hockey Championship

The 2006/07 season was the 15th season of the Kazakh hockey professional league. It was attended by seven clubs in the competition. The title of the Kazakh champion secured for the 13th time Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk. In parallel, the Kazakh Hockey Cup was held for the fifth time, the HK Kasachmys Satpajew won.

Mode

The seven participants played in a four- round, so that each team came up with the number of 24 games. The team with the most points at the end secured the championship.

A win in regulation time of 60 minutes a team received three points, the losing opponent went away empty-handed. Event of a tie, it was the first time ever in the extension. If there was no goal and it remained in the draw, each team got a point. When struck, the winner received two points, the loser had to make do with one.

Final Table

After the 24 rounds Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk secured sovereign the championship with 15 points ahead of the HK Kasachmys Satpajew. The team won 23 of its Ust- Kamenogorsks 24 games and whetted the embrasure of the runner-up title in the previous year again.

Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk and the HK Kasachmys Satpajew played during the season in parallel in the second-rate Russian Wysschaja league. The second teams, and Karaganda and Ust- Kamenogorsks Barys Astana, Gornjak Rudny, HK HK Irtysh Pavlodar and Karaganda Saryarka ran on the third-rate Russian Perwaja league. In addition, the HK Kasachmys Satpajew participated in the IIHF Continental Cup part in the 2006/07 season and reached the semifinals for the first time.
