2006–07 Scottish Cup

The Scottish FA Cup was played in 2006/ 07 to 122 times. The Scottish football cup competition, which was officially discharged as Tennent's Scottish Cup and chaired by the Scottish Football Association, began on 18 November 2006 and ended with the final on 26 May 2007 at Glasgow's Hampden Park. Titleholder was Heart of Midlothian, which was able to put in last year's final against FC Gretna. With a 1-0 final win against Dunfermline Athletic Celtic could make the double of league and cup perfectly in season 2006/ 07. Through the winning goal from Jean- Joël Perrier - Doumbé and the associated success Celtic could for a total of 34 times to win the title and remove the record as the Scottish Cup against city rivals Rangers on. Dunfermline conceded, however, so that the third defeat in five finals, before 2003/ 04 and 1964/65, curiously, all against Celtic. This year's finalists Dunfermline Athletic was due to the Champions League eligible to participate Glasgow for the next UEFA Cup season 2007/ 08, and retired there in the second qualifying round against the Swedish club BK Hacken from.
