2006–07 Serie B

The Season 2006/ 07 Serie B launched on September 9, 2006 and ended on 10 June 2007. Frosinone Calcio and for the 27 - time champions Juventus, it was the first season in the second-highest Italian league. Juventus managed as First prize the direct promotion back to the A. series with the SSC Napoli and Genoa also rose two traditional clubs along with Juve in the highest league, both of which had been demoted a few years earlier to the third league.

As the fourth-placed FC Piacenza end of the season was more than nine points behind third-placed Genoa, no playoffs were played. The AC Arezzo, FC Crotone and Pescara Calcio rose directly from the Serie C1. The fourth and fifth last-place teams Hellas Verona and AC Spezia met each other in the play- outs, in which Spezia prevailed and the league managed.
