2006–07 Slovenian Hockey League season

The 2006/07 season the Slovenian Hockey League was played with eight teams. Defending champion was the HK Jesenice, who with his team for the first time took part in this season in the Austrian Hockey League and therefore took only a farm team in the Slovenian league. Jesenice, however, did not reach the final, the new champion was instead of HDD Olimpija Ljubljana.

Mode

Before the start of the Slovenian national championship was the last time the transnational Inter League discharged (see Inter League 2006/ 07 ), in the A- group of the Hungarian Association Alba Volán Székesfehérvár won the championship. The second power stage ( Group B ) was able to win the farm team from Jesenice for themselves.

The Slovenian championship was then discharged again in abbreviated form. A simple round-trip round in the regular season (14 games per team ) followed by a Placement Round the top four teams. The two group winners then carried the final against each other.

The top four clubs in the main round played in a double round-trip round out the final placement.

Final

In the final series in the second round first- or second-placed club competed against each other. Here was defeated despite the upbeat victory of HK BR Slavija in five games to the HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, who was able to celebrate his eleventh title. The Ljubljana occurred after this season, only the second team in the Slovenian League, as they take part of Erste Bank Ice Hockey League since the 2007 /08 season.
