2006 Alpine Skiing World Cup

The season 2005/2006 the FIS Alpine World Cup, organized by the began on 22 October 2005 in Sölden and ended on 19 March 2006 during the World Cup finals in Åre. For men, 36 races were held (9 runs, 6 Super -G, Giant Slalom 8, 10 slalom, 3 Super- combinations ). For women, there were also 36 races ( each with 8 Downhill and Super -G, giant slalom and slalom each 9, 2 super- combinations ). To this end, a classic combination rating came among men. The season ended with a first veranstalteter team competition.

The highlight of the season was the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin ( the Alpine skiing events were held in Sestriere and San Sicario instead ).
