Title defenders Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett. The final disputed the twin brothers Bob and Mike Bryan vs. Martin Damm and Leander Paes. After the Bryans had lost in the past two years each in the finals, they won this time in three sets and secured so their first joint title at the Australian Open and her third overall Grand Slam title.
