2006 CAF Champions League
The CAF Champions League 2006 began on 17 February 2006 with the first round and ended on 11 November 2006 with the final second leg between CS Sfax in Tunisia and Al- Ahly of Egypt. The winner was Al -Ahly, who have won the return match in Sfax 1-0 after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. This was already the fifth success of the club in the CAF Champions League.
A total of 61 teams from 50 state associations participated in the tournament.

1 The return match was scored 2-0 for Hearts of Oak SC, because the Ethiopians were six red cards. Hearts of Oak SC takes part in the next round.

First legs on 21 and 24 April; Return matches on May 5 and 7.
