(2006) Polonskaya is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 22 September 1973 by Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanovich Chernykh at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj (IAU code 095).

The asteroid was named after the Soviet astronomer Elena Ivanovna Kazimirtschak - Polonskaya (1902-1992), who examined the influence of large planets on the orbits of short-period comets.

In November 2005, was erected at the Observatory Ondřejov due to disturbances of the light curve a presumption that (2006) Polonskaya has a moon with a diameter of about 3 km. This assumption could not be confirmed.
