2006 SAP Open

The SAP Open 2006, a tennis tournament, which was held in San José from 13 to 19 February 2006. It was part of the ATP Tour in 2006 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament and played in Costa do Sauipe, the Brasil Open in Rotterdam. The latter included just like the SAP Open to Category ATP World Tour 250, while the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament belonged to Category ATP World Tour 500.

In the singles final, Andy Murray won against Lleyton Hewitt. The doubles final won Jonas Bjorkman and John McEnroe against the U.S. pairing of Paul Goldstein and Jim Thomas.

The field of individual petition consisted of 32 players, double that of the petition of 16 pairs.
