2006 Veikkausliiga
The First Division in 2006 won for the third time in club history Tampere United.
Before the season AC Allianssi Vantaa from the license had been revoked, so the league start only with 13 teams. This also had, according to that there was only one Relegated: KuPS Kuopio had to the season the way to compete in the Ykkönen.
At the end of the season had Tampere United six points clear of the record champions HJK Helsinki. Haka was third.

Scorer Hermanni Vuorinen in 2006 from FC Honka Espoo with 16 goals, who left after the season to the Norwegian first division side Fredrikstad FK. In second place came with 13 goals, the Brazilian Rafael FC Lahti. Third in the scoring charts was Farid Ghazi from Algeria from HJK Helsinki with 12 goals.
