2006 World Series of Poker

The World Series of Poker began in 2006 on 25 June 2006 and ended with the final table of the Main Event on August 10, 2006.

The WSOP hosted a total of 45 tournaments in the Poker Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hold'em, Seven - card stud and Razz. The tournaments include the Tournament of Champions and with an entry fee of U.S. $ 50,000 most expensive WSOP HORSE tournament named

All tournaments were held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Rio All - Suite Hotel and Casino. This was the first year in which the World Series of Poker was no longer with the legendary Binion 's Horseshoe in conjunction.

Main Event

The main event was held from July 28 to August 10, 2006 in Las Vegas. A total of 8773 players took part, each paid an entry fee of $ 10,000 for the Texas Hold 'em tournament.
