2006 World Team Table Tennis Championships

The 51st World Table Tennis Championship for teams took place from April 24 to May 1, 2006 in Bremen. Individual competitions were held as scheduled not. Game Mode

The 24 teams in the Division 1 (Championship Division ) occurred in four groups of six to the mode FFA. Starting from the team rankings in March 2006, the top four teams were placed in each group. The Fifth and Sixth were dissolved in the groups with the Third and Fourth, the Seventh and Eighth in the remaining groups with the two WR- First.

The group winners reach the quarter-finals. Second and third place winners determine the remaining four participants in the quarter-finals. For the next World Cup 2008 teams ranked from 1 to 18 and the two climbers from the 2.Division are eligible to play. There are also four nations according to the team rankings.
