2007–08 DFB-Pokal
The final round of the DFB Pokal 2007/ 08 took place between August 2007 and April 2008. He was playing for the 65th time. The final took place on 19 April 2008; there met Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich each other. Venue was traditionally the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
Bayern Munich built with the 2-1 victory after extra time and the associated 14th win in 16 finals the lead as the best Cup team further. Goalkeeper Oliver Kahn took over the sixth game also the sole leadership as the most successful player in the Cup. However, there was also the defeated BVB reason to celebrate: With the championship of Bavaria in the same season, the final attendance was enough to qualify for the UEFA Cup. There, however, came in the first round against Udinese on penalties to the corner.
Surprisingly strong played the second division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena, the defending champions 1.FC Nuremberg, then Arminia Bielefeld and defeated the reigning champions VfB Stuttgart in the second round, but descent into third league at the end of the season. Only in the semi-final was for Jena in Dortmund terminus. This game was played in front of 80,708 spectators and is therefore so far the best attended Cup final in Germany. The final took place because of the upcoming European Championship earlier than usual place, at a time when the Bundesliga season was still going on.

1 Main Round
The draw for the first main round was carried out according to the following mode: The 24 through the National Cup -skilled, four relegated from the Bundesliga 2 (food, Unterhaching, Burghausen and Braunschweig) and the four newly promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga (St. Pauli, Osnabrück, labor and Hoffenheim ) enjoy home advantage; they are each against one of the 18 teams in the Bundesliga and one of the 14 teams in the 2nd Bundesliga, who have managed to avoid relegation in 2006/ 07, dissolved. The draw took place on 30 June 2007 at the current sports club instead. It achieved a first - for the third time in a row the first round game Rot-Weiss Essen was drawn against Energie Cottbus. It was played from the 3rd to the 6th of August 2007.
2 Main Round
Lost was the second main round on August 12, 2007. Initially, each team was randomly assigned from the pot of amateur teams, a team from the Bundesliga or Bundesliga 2, then the remaining games were drawn among the remaining professional teams. Unlike the first main round of the still remaining in the competition are promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga (FC St. Pauli and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim ) now - its current status as - as professional teams. The venue enjoy the amateur teams; are all amateur teams drawn against the first geloste in a game of first-team enjoying home advantage. It was played on 30 and 31 October 2007.
Second round
The second round was lost on 1 November 2007. Unlike the 1st and 2nd round was drawn from only one pot, amateur teams was automatically awarded home advantage in games against professional clubs. It was played on 29 and 30 January 2008.
