2007–08 Four Hills Tournament

The 56th Four Hills Tournament 2007/ 08 is part of the Ski Jumping World Cup 2007/2008. The jump in Oberstdorf found on 30 December, the place in Garmisch -Partenkirchen January 1. The competition to be held in Innsbruck on January 4, but had to be canceled due to strong winds. Instead of jumping two were in Bischofshofen performed, the first on 5 January, the second on the following day.

Overall winner was the Finn Janne Ahonen, who is now the sole record winner in the history of the tour with his fifth overall success. In the squares followed the Austrian Thomas Morgenstern and the German Michael Neumayer.

The competition was canceled for the first time in history due to a Föhnsturms. As a substitute jumped on January 5 in Bischofshofen.

The jumps on the Paul Ausserleitner - hill will probably go down in the history of the tour because of the consistent implementation of the first round. Towards the end of the passage prevailed bad weather conditions, which resulted in five Springer did not reach the second round of the Top Ten in the World Cup standings. In the overall standings promising athletes placed Gregor Schlierenzauer, Tom Hilde and Simon Ammann then fell back a long way. The race management, represented by Walter Hofer, justified the implementation of the first scoring pass with the good performance of the tour veterans Janne Ahonen, who jumped to third place after the first round despite the difficult conditions. The second passage, however, proceeded without major incidents.
