2007–08 German ice hockey league season

The ice hockey league was played in the 2007/ 08 season, in contrast to the previous season in a changed mode.

Mode

As a mode has been determined that for the first round

  • The 19 participating teams are divided into a 9 -team North and a 10 -team southern group;
  • First a single round ( round-trip game ) of all participating teams played; then an additional double round will be played within the two groups;
  • For each group because of the different number of participants a separate table is maintained.

After the preliminary

  • Take participants to places 1-4 in each group on the climb to the 2nd Bundesliga Playoffs part;

Rule changes from this season

  • Mining license holders of DEL teams have until 31 January 2008, at least 10 games have been completed for a team to be on to play for them.
  • Players from 2nd Bundesliga teams can also have a mining license for a league team.
  • May be required to an unlimited number of players with foreign players license until the transfer end on January 31, 2008 - can be used per game up to 5 players.
  • A restriction has been introduced in each game that a maximum of 15 players may be used, either born as a field player with German player license before 1 January 1986 or players with a foreign player license are (so-called U21 - control).
