2007–08 NLA season

The season 2007/ 08 was the 70th regular season of the former National League A, which from this season by wearing a league decision the name National League A, to give the Swiss ice hockey a new profile. Mode

Be played by the 12 teams 2 double rounds of 22 games. There are 6 per team per additional matches against three opponents, which are calculated on the basis of the qualification table last year. There were thus following groups: Davos ( 1 ), Rapperswil ( 6 ) Geneva ( 7 ), Basel ( 12 ) and Bern ( 2 ), Kloten ( 5 ), ZSC ( 8 ), Langnau ( 11 ) and train ( 3 ), Lugano ( 4 ), Ambri ( 9 ), Fribourg ( 10 ). Overall, therefore, denies any team's 50 qualifying matches. After that, the best eight teams in the playoffs determine the champion Swiss style. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played respectively by the mode best -of-seven.

The other four teams identify in the play- outs that team that has to play in the league against the champions of the National League B.

The EHC Biel wins this series with 4 to 0 wins and increases after 13 years of absence in the NLA on. Basel increases after 3 years from NLA in the National League B.
