Mode
The 30 teams in the league Wysschaja were divided into two conferences before the season according to regional criteria. Had the Western Conference with 16 teams of two participants over the Eastern Conference with 14 teams. First, each team played four games against each opponent within their own conference, so the number of matches per team in the Western Conference and 60 in the Eastern Conference was 52.
The top eight teams from each conference qualified for the playoffs then, in which the second division champion was pitted. For a win within regular time each team received three points with a victory after extra two points with a defeat after extra time there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
