2007 ASEAN Football Championship

The ASEAN Football Championship 2007 was the sixth edition of the competition. Hosted the championship were Thailand and Singapore. Eligible were all Southeast Asian football teams.

Qualification

For the tournament in Thailand and Singapore, the strongest teams in the ASEAN Football Federation qualified automatically.

Brunei Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Laos, East Timor East Timor and the Philippines Philippines first had to compete against one another in a qualification. The first two teams this qualifying tournament, which was held in Bacolod in the Philippines from November 12 until November 20, 2006, qualifies for the ASEAN Cup 2007.

Laos and the Philippines were thus qualified for the final tournament.

Final tournament

The final tournament, the actual ASEAN Cup 2007, took place from January 12 to February 4, 2007 in Thailand and Singapore.

Qualifies were next to the hosts from Thailand and Singapore still Indonesia Indonesia as a runner-up in 2004, Malaysia and Myanmar Myanmar in 1974 as a semi-finalist of the tournament in 2004 as well as Vietnam, Laos, Laos and the Philippines, Philippines.

It was played in two groups of four teams each. The group winners and runners met in the semi-finals each other, the winner of the Halbfinalbegenungen then determined the winner of the ASEAN Cup 2007. Semi-finals and the finals were played in home and away matches.

Group A

The matches of group A were in Bangkok, Thailand, discharged.

Group B

The matches of Group B were discharged in Jalan Besar and Kallang, Singapore.
