2007 FIFA Club World Cup

The FIFA Club World Cup 2007 (English: FIFA Club World Cup 2007) was the fourth edition of this international football competition for club teams and was held from December 7 to 16 for the third time in a row in Japan. With the AC Milan for the first time a European team won the title.

Mode

Due to the change of the Australian Football Association of the OFC to AFC and therefore lower skill level of the OFC club an idea from the previous year, was picked up in March 2007 and adopted a rule change. The winner of the OFC Champions League had henceforth to contest a playoff game against the champions of the host organization, which receives an additional fixed starting place in the rule.
