2007 Major League Soccer season
The 12th Major League Soccer season began with the regular season on April 7, 2007 and ended with the MLS Cup 2007 on November 18, 2007 at RFK Stadium in Washington.
Innovations
- The newly formed Canadian club Toronto FC takes part for the first time in the game mode. Thus, the number of teams increased to 13, the club plays in the Eastern Conference, but will not participate in the U.S. Open Cup, the national cup competition.
- Each club makes 30 regular games and not, as previously 32
- It is allowed to operate jersey sponsorship. The first club that operates this is Real Salt Lake with the company XanGo. New York Red Bulls (Red Bull ), Los Angeles Galaxy ( Herbalife ) and the Toronto FC ( BMO Financial Group ) will also operate jersey sponsorship.
- The Designated Player Rule will be used from now on. May without first MLS to contact This rule states that each club at a maximum of a player 's salary set itself. - The top four teams from the regular season qualify for the North American SuperLiga 2008.

Sierra Mist All-Star Game
The 12th MLS All -Star Game took place on 19 July 2007. A selection of the best players from the Major League Soccer came to Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado to the current Scottish champions Celtic. The MLS team won 2-0 thanks to goals from Juan Pablo Angel and Juan Carlos Toja.
