2007 Open 13

The Open 13, 2007, a tennis tournament, which took place in Marseille from 12 to 18 February 2007. It was part of the ATP Tour in 2007 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week were played in Costa do Sauipe, the Brasil Open, and San Jose SAP Open. This included just like the Open 13 to Category International Series.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The total prize money amounted to € 575,000, the total financial liabilities amounted to € 600,000.

Arnaud Clément was the defending champion in singles, but it failed this year in the first round. The single won the tournament unseeded Frenchman Gilles Simon in the final against the set at position seven Cypriots Marcos Baghdatis in straight sets. It was Simon's first title on the ATP Tour.

More successful was single last year's winner Clément in the doubles competition, which he won placed at position four, together with Michaël Llodra. They defeated the top-seeded Mark Knowles while and Daniel Nestor in the match tie-break. It was Clément's eighth doubles title of his career and the second in Marseille; for Llodra, it was the eleventh career title in doubles. It was her third common title on the ATP Tour. The defending champions of the doubles competition, Martin Damm and Radek Stepanek, did not take part in the tournament together. While dam did not compete this year, Stepanek took part with his new partner Mahesh Bhupathi. Due to a rib injury Stepanek they parted, however, in the first round without a fight against the eventual tournament winner.

Besides Stepanek cancellation there were before the tournament even one injury-related withdrawal. Sebastien Grosjean was unable to attend due to a hamstring injury also. For these two indented George Bastl Jérémy Chardy and as a lucky loser in the individual competition after.
