2007 South Korea oil spill

Hebei Spirit is a Hong Kong registered oil tanker.

On 7 December 2007 rammed an unpowered floating crane, who was in tow, the moored tanker. The crash site was 11 km off the coast of South Korea, near Taean. After the collision occurred 10,500 tonnes of 260,000 tons of crude oil loaded from. From the following day, the oil spill reached the coast. The ship was seized on December 24, 2007 to enforce the claims for compensation.
