2008–09 English Premiership (rugby union)

The 2008/09 season of the English Premier League was the 22nd season of the top flight of English rugby union championship. For sponsorship reasons she was named Guinness Premiership. It began on September 6, 2008, included 22 game days (one forward and reverse turn) and lasted until 25 April 2009. The season of second division ( National Division One) lasted from 30 August 2008 to 25 April 2009, and comprised 30 game days (one forward and reverse round). The best-placed team Leeds Carnegie rose to the Premiership. Since the league was reduced in the following season to twelve teams, rose five instead of the current two teams in the National Division Two from; only one team on rose.
